Island Aquatics has clear and reasonable expectations of swimmer progression. In order to achieve successful results, it is important that everyone involved with Island Aquatics has an understanding of what we are trying to accomplish as a USA swimming club.
Movement from one group level to another will be based upon the following:
Advancement Criteria
Performance at swim meets
Performance and sustainability of daily training
Attitude and Commitment level of individual.
Senior Group
*7-9 practices per week
Participation in all targeted swim meets
(Including off Island travel)
Bi-annual goal setting and goal review (seasonal)
Travel for training purposes
Signed Agreement
Gold
*5-7 practices per week
Participation in all targeted swim meets
This includes qualifying time standard meets
(Including off Island travel)
Annual goal setting and goal review
Silver
*4-5 practices per week
Participation in swim meets
Including qualifying time standard meets
Annual goal setting
Bronze
*3-4 practices per week
Participation in swim meets
Annual Goal Setting
Age Group
*2 practices per week
Introduction to swim meets
